This week I did something I’ve always wanted to do, I went to watch England 🏴 play in the FIFA World Cup. I had the opportunity to fly to Atlanta, Georgia and watch England face off against Argentina in the 2026 Semi Finals.
The match was played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium which can either be open air or closed, and for this match it was closed. I was amazed at the sheer scale of the stadium and the amount of people that were there.
I think I have football chants seared into my memory now.
Before the match they bring out the flags and sing the national anthems.
Here I am yapping away to the English national anthem.
Half time was a wild time. Something I couldn’t believe was just how cheap food and drink was at the Atlanta stadium. It’s only $8 for a beer which I felt was very reasonable compared to other stadiums.
Conclusion#
Ultimately England didn’t win, but it’s coming home eventually, and it was an amazing experience. Big up to the England team and my fellow fans, until next time.
